Barbequed Ribs

4 pounds pork baby back ribs
4 cloves garlic, sliced
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 tablespoon paprika
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons ground black pepper
2 teaspoons chile powder
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup chili sauce
2 tablespoons onion, chopped
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1 clove crushed garlic
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1. Place ribs on a rack in a shallow baking pan. Scatter garlic over ribs.
2. Cover and bake at 300 degrees for 2 1/2 hours. Cool slightly.
3. Combine the seasonings; white sugar, paprika, salt, black pepper, Chile powder, and ground cumin, and rub them over the ribs. Cover and refrigerate over night.
4. Combine all sauce ingredients; brown sugar, ketchup, chili sauce, onion, Worcestershire, lemon juice. dry mustard, garlic, and cider vinegar. Simmer uncovered for 1 hour. Grill the ribs on the barbecue, basting with the sauce.
5. Serve with reserved sauce. Grill, covered, over medium heat, about 12 minutes.
